Co-Dx Maverick Blue® Nucleic Acid Stain is a double-stranded DNA binding dye for real-time PCR and melting (including high-resolution melting, HRM) applications with blue laser excitation. It is one of the key components that enables the Co-Dx PCR Home™ and Co-Dx PCR Pro™ testing systems. Co-Dx’s chemistry team continues to design and manufacture innovative dyes specifically tailored to the needs of new instrumentation and new assays for low-cost PCR.

Strong fluorescence
Little to no fluorescence as a free dye but can be excited by blue light and emit strong fluorescence once bound to double-stranded DNA
Purity verification
Dye checked for purity by HPLC (at least 95% at 432 nm), and for structure by NMR
Ex/Em
Fluorescence excitation/emission maxima (Ex/Em) at 444 nm / 471 nm tested in 10 mM Tris, 0.1 mM EDTA, pH 8
Convenient liquid format
5 mM solution in TE buffer pH 8 (10 mM Tris, 0.1 mM EDTA)
