Nucleic Acid Stain

Maverick Blue™ nucleic acid stain is a double-stranded DNA binding dye for real-time PCR, with blue laser excitation.

Features:

  • Very little to no fluorescence as a free dye, but once bound to double-stranded DNA, it can be excited by blue light and emits strong fluorescence
  • Ex/Em: 444 nm / 471 nm
  • 5 mM solution in TE buffer pH 8
  • Dye is checked for purity by HPLC (at least 95 % at 432 nm), and for structure by NMR
  • Made to order in 250 µL and other package sizes by Idaho Molecular, a subsidiary of Co-Dx

Intended Use

Maverick Blue Nucleic Acid Stain has very little to no fluorescence as a free dye, but once bound to double-stranded DNA, it can be excited by blue light and emits strong fluorescence. Maverick Blue stain can be used in PCR, and flow cytometry applications.
