World TB Day 2015

Dear Co-Diagnostics shareholders, supporters, and followers,

It is estimated that nearly 9 million people worldwide contract tuberculosis each year. In 2014, 1.3 million did not survive. Every year on March 24th, the nations of the world come together to mark World TB day, a public health campaign started by the World Health Organization to recognize a global commitment to end TB by 2035. It is a bold, ambitious goal, but as Ralph Waldo Emerson stated, “Without ambition one starts nothing. Without work one finishes nothing.”

Co-Diagnostics proudly supports the WHO and all committed nations and organizations dedicated to the eradication of TB and Multi-Drug Resistant (MDR) TB, still an epidemic in many parts of the world, where rapid, accurate detection is the key to effective treatment.

In addition to our initiative to place PCR diagnostics machines throughout India to increase access to our affordable, highly-sensitive PCR TB tests, programs underway also include the development of a real-time assay for the detection of MDR-TB, as well as ongoing discussions about marketing initiatives with manufacturers of low-cost, innovative PCR machines to assist us in extending our reach even further.

Upcoming press releases on these and other developments will be issued within the next several weeks. We thank you for your continued support.
